Life suddenly got phatter when I took my shahadah,
Islam was like a strop it got me sharp as a dagger
I learned belief and I prayed, how the zakat is paid
got my Ramadan on, but my Hajj is still delayed
Debated suckers in the 12th grade, givin' da^wah like 1st aid
Quit the burger king thing, cause haram money was being made
A sacrifice, but Wallahi, it was Lillahi
A big test in life, and I hope that my reward would be Paradise
Call me a student. I got the best shaykhs in town
From they heart, to they mouth, to my ear, then I write it down
The method of the generations of old
Who sought knowledge from teachers instead of books
And only taught what they was told
this fitnah that people bring be making me sicker and sicker
Telling me I can't use my dhikr beads to make dhikr
"Cause you claim whatever the Prophet didn't do is a bad bid^ah
and got the nerve to use a microphone to give the khutbah
Some deviant fellas perpetrate the name of the salaf
But me and my brothers don't listen to nothing they tell us
Enough about the fakes that I hate
I be mixin oils, listening to Qur'an tapes up in my bayt
Not worrying about trying to fornicate
swifter than a ninja to make istinja if I urinate or deficaate
Kuffar used to have me too scare to rock my izar
Like some sisters that wanna blend in and take off they khimar
But in these streets you gots to practice the Sunnah
It's that wisdom, knowledge, piety, and then some
Stop illin and start chillin like a Muslim

If I awaken from a dream by a sunbeam created by al ^Alim
If I overslept I pray As-Subh so I'll be clean on yawmiddin
Try not to eat my fill...I'm from a nation of moderation
Alhamdulillah, He gave accommodations with no obligations
Look at God's creation and get an understanding

Don't wanna fall seventy years before landing,
so I worry about the Islam thing
And dont forget salatul ^asr in the afternoon
Don't want a fate like al fasiqun or the kafirun
Learn of the teachings of the Prophet and his miracles
Heed his warning of a torture that's terrible and unbearable
Because Allah will send Munkar and Nakir to hit the kafir
With the hammer behind his head between his ears
And when in his grave his place in hellfire would be seen
And when his body decays his soul would go to sijjin
Which is a place in the creation
The soul receives torture in that section
until the day of the resurrections and the questions
So my suggestion, do your best in Islam and endeavor
The hardships of this short life will earn you the pleasures of
Al Jannah forever. The ever lasting treasures you can't measure
So if you wake before shuruq perform wudu' and pray al fajr
Avoid the sins of the eyes and the tongue and fear Allah constantly
And if it's hot outside sister, still cover yourself properly
Embrace it, you can't escape that death is coming at you
Assalamu ^Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu.
