Remote Desktop Connection windows XP and 2003 part II
Access to multiple PCs that are behind a firewall, NAT or router is fairly easy to configure if the user can forward or redirect TCP ports to the target PC IP addresses. Examples include using the Windows XP Internet Connection Firewall (ICF) or a Linksys BEFSR41 Etherfast Cable/DSL Router. The examples illustrate access to four (4) XP Pro PCs behind the ICF or a Linksys BEFSR41.

Go to Start, right click on My Network Places and select Properties. Next right click and select Properties for the interface that ICF is enable on to access the network connection properties configuration window.

Select the Advanced properties window then click on the Settings button at the bottom right. Check the Remote Desktop checkbox to enable access to the PC running ICF. You can verify the current IP address by clicking on the Edit button. Click OK to continue.
