Anger

عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه: أن رجلاً قال للنبي صلى الله عليه وسلم:
أوصني، قال: (لا تغضب). فردد مراراً، قال: (لا تغضب). رواه البخاري

From the route of Abu Hurayrah, may Allah accept his deeds, it was related that a man told the Prophet, sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam, ‘Advise me’. The prophet replied: <<Do not be angry>>. When the man repeatedly asked for an advice the Prophet kept on saying: <<Do not be angry. >> Narrated by al-Bukhariyy.

It is scientifically and medically proven that anger as a form of human reaction affects human heart. It increases the rate of heart beats to an abnormal or unnatural state and consequently increases the blood pushed in the blood vessels and raises the probability of having high blood pressure or even a heart attack. Moreover, anger is a primary cause for social tension, crimes and family unrest.

Therefore, it is clear that the saying of Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him is a valuable word of wisdom.

In another hadith the Prophet peace be upon him praised the one who has self-restrain by saying that the strong man is not strong due to his ability to knock-down others, rather his strength lies in his ability to exercise self-retain when he is angry.

As a conclusion, anger changes human behaviour and conducts. Therefore, for the purpose of avoiding anger the person should change his behaviour and adopt a wise course of action in tackling his daily challenges hence turning his anger into calmness and tranquility without getting irritated
