“ Creator of the Earth and Sky “

–    Creator of the earth and sky
–    We ask for a rank that is high
–    We obey in word and deed
–    The prophet’s we must heed.

–    This world is a trial for us
–    And we know well that we must
–    Obey the orders from my lord
–    To avoid all sins and seek reward

–    Our hearts quake with fear of you
–    Our hearts wake with love for you
–    And to Islam we must be true
– In everything we think and do.

–    This world is a trial for us
–    And we know well that we must
–    Obey the orders from my lord
–    To avoid all sins and seek reward

–    To people we have brought our call.
–    Men and women one and all.
–    La ilaha illallah.
–    No one is God except Allah.
–    This world is a trial for us
–    And we know well that we must
–    Obey the orders from my lord
–    To avoid all sins and seek reward

Lesson

In Islam, the issue of knowledge is held in high regard. This knowledge is not any knowledge per se, but rather the knowledge of the Religion of Islam. In Surat Muhammad, Ayah 19, Allah said:

{ فَاعْلَمْ أَنّهُ لآ إلَهَ إلاّ الله – 19 }
Which means:] O Muhammad, be firm in knowing that no one is God except Allah. [ In the Hadith related by al-Bayhaqiyy, the Messenger of Allah said:

” طلبُ العِلمِ فريضةٌ على كلّ مسلمٍ “

Which means: < Seeking the knowledge of the Religion is obligatory on every Muslim (whether
Male or Female). >
The wording of this Hadith the term “ every” (kull)
From which the scholars clearly understood “ the Personal obligatory Knowledge of the Religion,” and not all kinds of knowledge.

“ Every Day is filled with Blessings“

–    Everyday is filled with blessings.
–    Don’t you see them? Just look around.
–    Everyday is filled with blessings.
–    Look for those blessings you’ve not yet found.

–    If you have sight, that sight is a blessing.
–    If you can hear, what a blessing you have.
–    If you have kissed the hand of a scholar of Islam.
–    You have a blessing, which others have not had.
–    So thank your lord for all of your blessings.
–    Don’t forget to thank Him night and day.
–    You thank your lord for the blessings that He gives.
–    When you use these from your lord to obey.

Lesson

Imam Abul-Hasan al Ash ˆ ariyy said:” The first
Obligation on the slave is to learn about Allah, His
Messenger, and His Religion.” The prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم in the Hadith related by al- Bukhariyy, said:
” مَنْ يُرِدِ الله به خيرًا يُفَقّهْهُ في الدين “

Which means: < Whomever Allah willed goodness for makes him knowledgeable in the Religion. > It is also understood from this Hadith that whomever Allah did not will for him to be knowledgeable enough in the Religion, then Allah did not will a good status for him.

Al Imam ‘Aliyy Ibn Abi Talib, the fourth caliph, said: < Knowledge is better than money, because knowledge protects you whereas you protect money. > Knowledge rules over things, whereas money is ruled over. Money diminishes as you spend it, whereas spending the knowledge by teaching it to others increases your reward.

“ Fear God”

–    Oh don’t you fear God! Oh won’t you fear God!
–    Oh don’t you fear God! Oh won’t you fear God!
–    When you are Alone, Alone inside your home.
–    Know that this is true, God For sure sees you
–    And If you speak a word, For sure God has heard.
–    No matter what you do, God knows about you.
–    We are going to die, your body it will lye.

–
–    Down in to the earth, Covered up with dirt.
– For some it will be dark, their body will be marked.
–    The earth will close on them, until their ribs are rimed.
–    Oh don’t you fear God Oh won’t you fear God!
–    Oh don’t you fear God Oh won’t you fear God!

–    On the Day of Judgment, the people will be raised.
–    Some will have no clothes; some will be dark faced
–    From dragging on the ground, and they will be disgraced.
–    What will they do, when this day comes true?
–    While crossing the Sirat, some people will be clawed
–    It will pull them to the edge, and leave them at the ledge.
–    Below them is the Hell, so scared they almost fell.
–    Some will go right in, the pain of burning skin.
–    Oh don’t you fear God Oh won’t you fear God!
–    Oh don’t you fear God Oh won’t you fear God!
–    The torture is so great the people want to drink.
–    They look for the relief that is what they think.
–    They’ll get molten hot pus they drink it in Disgust.
–    As it travels down their mouth, it rips them inside out.
–    Oh don’t you fear God Oh won’t you fear God!
–    Oh don’t you fear God Oh won’t you fear God!

Lesson

The person who is knowledgeable will be led by his knowledge to piety and sincerity. The one who is pious will fall under the Qudsiyy Hadith of the Prophet: صلّى الله عليه وسلّم

“أعددتُ لعبادي الصّالحينَ ما لا عيْنٌ رأتْ ولا أذنٌ سمعتْ ولا خطرَ على قلبِ بشر”
Which means: < Allah said: I prepared for My pious slaves in Paradise that which no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no one thought of before. >

“I start my day by praising AllahurRahman “

–    I start my day by praising AllahurRahman.
–    The lord of all the worlds.
–    And ask my God to raise the rank of the prophet.
–    Oh God guide us, to be pious.
–    Help us to be obedient, and grant us paradise.
–    And on the Day of Judgment we want to see the prophets.
–    And ask for intercession, and enter paradise.

Lesson

Al Imam ‘ Aliyy said: < The people of knowledge are
Of three categories: First, a scholar who implements his
Knowledge, the one who has observed the criteria for acquiring the knowledge, and implementing it. The second is the person who learns and is on the path of success; he is the one who learns following the proper methodology,     implementing the rules, and observing the criteria. The third type of person is the one who does not have the knowledge;
the one who does not seek to acquire the knowledge in the proper manner, but rather follows any speaker who says anything out of ignorance. >
This third type runs rampant and is of great danger. We see many people stand on platforms and address masses of people, while they, themselves are ignorant. They themselves are astray, and they lead others astray. This is of grave concern, and we need to be very cautious.

“ City of Madinah “

–    Are you going to the City of Madinah?
–    Are you going to visit my beloved?
–    Are you going to the city of Madinah?
–    To be with Taha the best of all the prophets.

–    And when you stand before him at his grave
–    Won’t you ask for us his intercession
–    And when you stand before him at his grave
–    Please don’t forget us in your supplication.
–
–    Are you going to the City of Madinah?
–    Are you going to visit my beloved?
–    Are you going to the city of Madinah?
–    To be with Taha the best of all the prophets.

–    For he’s the one the weeping camel spoke to.
–    And he’s the one the moaning trunk yearned for.
–    O he’s the one the trees and rocks greeted with.
–    Assalamu ˆ alayka, ya Rassullallah.

–    So won’t you say when you face him at his grave
– Assalamu ˆ alayka, ya Rassullallah
–    Assalamu ˆ alayka, ya Nabbiyyallah
–    Assalamu ˆ alayka, ya Habiballah

–    O won’t you pray for us in al-Madinah
–    Pray that God grants us his generosities
–    Pray by the virtue and the glory of our prophet
–    Nabiyy Muhammad, the prophet of mercy.

–    Are you going to the City of Madinah?
–    Are you going to visit my beloved?
–    Are you going to the city of Madinah?
–    To be with Taha the best of all the prophets.

Lesson

The ultimate success is to be successful in the Hereafter. The person who acquires the knowledge as it is prescribed in Islam enters the gateway to success in this life and in the Hereafter. So be eager to acquire that knowledge. Be eager to be around the scholars. Be eager to associate with the scholars, for the Messenger of Allah said:

} إن مَثَلَ العلماءِ في الأرض كَمَثَلِ النجوم في السماء
يُهتَدَى بها في ظلمات البر والبحر {

Which means: “ The scholars on earth are like the stars in the heavens with which one is guided through the darkness of land and sea “.

“ True Love”

O those who seek true love,
The meaning of true love,
True love is loving for the sake of God.
Advising each other to follow the Messenger.
And do the good deeds for the sake of God.

The pious ones, who love for the sake of God,
Will be in the shade on the Day of Judgment,
in the shadow of the ceiling of Paradise.
Rejoicing in their happiness that remains.

The pious ones who love for the sake of God,
Help each other work for the Day of Judgment,
They gather in worship with true sincerity,
And help each other leave the evil deeds.

The pious ones who love for the sake of God
Remind each other of the day of judgment
And to fear God who created everything.

Lesson

The one who acquires the knowledge satisfying the Criteria for acquiring it usually become sincerely more humble. This humility is a sign of knowledge; it is in the heart and it appears on the outside. Yet, the humility of the heart entails more than talking softly or lowering one’s gaze in a shy manner. Some frauds talk softly and lower their gazes in a shy manner, yet their hearts are like stone. The more knowledgeable one is, the more aware one becomes of the greatness of the Creator and the smallness of one’s self, and the more aware of the fact that one acquired only the knowledge, which Allah enabled one to acquire.

Imam Abu Hanifah said: “ Tawhid is the “ Great knowledge (al-Fiqhul-Akbar).” Imam ash- Safi iyy said: “ I mastered the knowledge of Tawhid before mastering the knowledge of the rules of the Religion.”

“ Make Salah ”

–    Make Salah, make Salah, to God make Salah
–    Try so hard to obey, make Salah every day

–    Make Salah, make Salah, to God make Salah
–    Make Salah in the night make Salah when its light

–    O God, we obey and we pray every day
– If you willed we obey and we pray every day.

– Make Salah, make Salah, to God make Salah
–    Make Salah in the time that is blessed and sublime

–    With the fear in your heart let the prayer from you start
–    If with patience you try, then your rank will get high.

–    O God, we obey and we pray every day
– If you willed we obey and we pray every day.

Lesson

Hence, it is clear from what has been stated so far; that the knowledge we are referring to is the Religious knowledge of Islam. Moreover, this knowledge of the Religion entails many facets and many subjects among which are the knowledge of Tawhid and the knowledge of the rules of the Religion. The knowledge of Tawhid entails knowing about Allah and His Messenger, and it is the best of all the knowledge in Islam. The scholars repeatedly emphasized the clear evidence from the Qur’an, Hadith, and scholarly consensus proving the knowledge of Tawhid is ranked the highest among all knowledge. This is so, because it has to do with knowing about Allah and about His Messenger. This entails knowing what befits Allah and what is impossible to be among His attributes, and what befits the messengers and what is impossible to be among their attributes. And Allah knows best.

“ Every Day is filled with Blessings“

–    Everyday is filled with blessings.
–    Don’t you see them? Just look around.
–    Everyday is filled with blessings, yes it is
–    Look for those blessings you’ve not yet found.
