{"id":10852,"date":"2023-04-29T05:04:11","date_gmt":"2023-04-29T05:04:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/alsunna.org\/wp\/blog\/2023\/04\/29\/believing-in-al-qadar\/"},"modified":"2023-08-17T21:25:17","modified_gmt":"2023-08-18T01:25:17","slug":"believing-in-al-qadar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alsunna.org\/wp\/blog\/2023\/04\/29\/believing-in-al-qadar\/","title":{"rendered":"Believing in al-Qadar"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>All  praise is due to Allah The Exalted, and may Allah raise the rank of our  beloved Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him, his kind relatives and  companions, and protect his nation from that which he feared for them  thereafter;<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Believing in <em>al-<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Q<\/span>adar<\/em> is among the fundamental basics of the Islamic creed. The one who denies <em>al-<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Q<\/span>adar<\/em> is a blasphemer.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The definition of <em>al-<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Q<\/span>adar<\/em> is the managing of things so they occur in compliance with the Eternal Knowledge of <em>All<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">a<\/span>h<\/em> and His Eternal Will.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><em>Al-<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Q<\/span>adar<\/em> has also another meaning which is <em>al-ma<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">q<\/span>d<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">u<\/span>r<\/em> (i.e. the created things that exist by the predestination of <em>All<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">a<\/span>h<\/em>). According to the second meaning, it includes both good and evil. All the good and bad deeds of a slave occur by the Will of <em>All<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">a<\/span>h<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Both good and evil are part of this universe and thus they occur by <em>al-<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Q<\/span>adar<\/em> of <em>All<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">a<\/span>h<\/em> <em>ta^<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">a<\/span>l<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">a<\/span><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This is clarified by the <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">h<\/span>ad<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">i<\/span>th<\/em> narrated by <em>Muslim<\/em> in which the Prophet answered <em>Jibr<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">i<\/span>l<\/em> when he asked him about the correct belief. The Prophet said: \u201c<em>The proper belief is to believe in All<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">a<\/span>h<\/em> <em>ta^<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">a<\/span>l<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">a<\/span><\/em><em>, His angels, His revealed books, His prophets and messengers, the Day of Judgment, and to believe in al-<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Q<\/span>adar<\/em> <em>both good and evil.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><em>Al-Bayhaqiyy<\/em> narrated that our master <em>^Aliyy<\/em> said: \u201cNo one amongst you would have the proper belief in his heart  unless one firmly believes without any doubt that whatever happens to  one, had not been predestined to miss one, and whatever misses one, had  not been predestined to happen to one. One must believe that <em>al-<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Q<\/span>adar<\/em> encompasses all the creations.\u201d Thus, it is blasphemous to believe that only part of the creations are encompassed by <em>al-<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Q<\/span>adar<\/em> while other creations are not.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><em>All<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">a<\/span>h<\/em> <em>ta^<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">a<\/span>l<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">a<\/span><\/em> said in <em>S<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">u<\/span>ratul-Fur<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">qa<\/span>n<\/em>, <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">A<\/span>yah<\/em> 2:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"RTL\" align=\"center\"><strong>\u0648\u064e\u062e\u064e\u0644\u064e\u0642\u064e \u0643\u064f\u0644\u0651\u064e \u0634\u064e\u0649\u0621<\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>which means: [<strong>And He created everything.<\/strong>] The universe in its entirety is a creation of <em>All<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">a<\/span>h<\/em> <em>ta^<\/em><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">a<\/span><\/em><em>l<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">a<\/span><\/em>. He, <em>sub<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">ha<\/span>nahu<\/em> <em>wa ta^<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">a<\/span>l<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">a<\/span><\/em>,  is the Manager of everything. He is the One Who makes things run  according to His eternal Will and Knowledge. Hence, nothing happens in  the entire universe except by His management.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><em>Al-Bayhaqiyy<\/em> related that the Prophet, <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">s<\/span>allall<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">a<\/span>hu ^alayhi wa sallam<\/em>, said: &#8220;O <em>All<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">a<\/span>h<\/em>, the One Who controls the hearts, guide our hearts to obey to You.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><em>All<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">a<\/span>h<\/em>, <em>ta^<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">a<\/span>l<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">a<\/span><\/em>, said in <em>S<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">u<\/span>ratuz-Zumar<\/em>, <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">A<\/span>yah<\/em> 62:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"RTL\" align=\"center\"><strong>\u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647\u064f \u062e\u064e\u0627\u0644\u0650\u0642\u064f \u0643\u064f\u0644\u0650 \u0634\u064e\u0649\u0621<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>which means: [<strong><em>All<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">a<\/span>h<\/em> is the Creator of everything<\/strong>.]<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Will of <em>All<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">a<\/span>h<\/em> does not change because change occurs in creatures, and change is the most significant sign of being a creation. <em>All<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">a<\/span>h<\/em> <em>ta^<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">a<\/span>l<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">a<\/span><\/em> said in <em>S<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">u<\/span>rat <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Qa<\/span>f<\/em>, <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">A<\/span>yah<\/em> 29:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"RTL\" align=\"center\"><strong>\u0645\u064e\u0627 \u064a\u064f\u0628\u064e\u062f\u0651\u064e\u0644\u064f \u0627\u0644\u0642\u064e\u0648\u0652\u0644\u064f \u0644\u064e\u062f\u064e\u064a\u0651<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>which means: [<strong>That which I have decreed does not change.<\/strong>]<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><em>Imam Muslim<\/em> related that the Messenger of <em>All<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">a<\/span>h<\/em>, <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">s<\/span>allall<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">a<\/span>hu ^alayhi wa sallam<\/em>, said: &lt;&lt;<em> All<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">a<\/span>h<\/em> said the meaning of which is: O <em>Mu<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">h<\/span>ammad<\/em>, if I decreed a matter then it will never be opposed.&gt;&gt; <em>All<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">a<\/span>h<\/em> changes the creatures in accordance with His Will that does not change.  Whatever He willed to happen shall occur at the time that He willed for  it to exist, and that which He did not will for to happen shall never  exist. <em>Ab<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">u<\/span> Daw<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">u<\/span>d<\/em> related that the Messenger of <em>All<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">a<\/span>h<\/em> said: &lt;&lt;Whatever <em>All<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">a<\/span>h<\/em> willed to be shall be and whatever <em>All<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">a<\/span>h<\/em> did not will to be shall not be.&gt;&gt; Good and evil, obedience and  sinning, and blasphemy and belief all of that occur by the Will of <em>All<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">a<\/span>h<\/em>, His Knowledge, Decree, and Creating.
