the long sighted people and the short sighted people

We've seen some people before us destroyed due to their love for this dunyaa. They may have seemed powerful at the time, but what is left of them now? Where are they? Where are the people whom they used to impress? Are they of any benefit to them now?

Ponder about this because one day, we will depart from this dunya. We will follow the dead to our graves. Don't we want it illuminated with light similar to that of the full moon? Or a grave with a beautiful fragrance? Don't we want safety on the Day of Judgement? The short sighted people have chosen this dunyaa to fulfill their desire for immediate gratification, which is only temporary. The long sighted people have chosen the enjoyment of the Hereafter that is everlasting. The successful is the one who chooses the Hereafter over this Dunya. May Allaah make us among the winners in the Hereafter. Aameen.
